Finding Real Motivation: Insights from My Workshop at the Women Entrepreneurs Mentorship Group
On October 10th, I had the privilege of participating in the Women Entrepreneurs Mentorship Group as a guest speaker and workshop facilitator, leading a session dedicated to one of the most essential topics in professional and personal growth: motivation.

Why We Lose Motivation (and How to Reignite It)
In my work as a marketing strategist and certified coach, I’ve seen a repeating pattern — people often seek motivation externally: from deadlines, pressure, or external validation. But true and sustainable motivation doesn’t come from external rewards.
It comes from clarity, meaning, and progress.
As I shared during the workshop:
“True motivation doesn’t come from pressure; it comes from clarity.”
“We lose motivation when what we do loses meaning, not when it gets hard.”
“Progress, even small, fuels momentum. Every step counts.”
These reflections form the foundation of my approach to motivation, seeing it not as an emotion to chase, but as a system we can nurture through awareness, structure, and alignment with what truly matters.
The Core Formula: Motivation = Clarity + Meaning + Progress
Motivation thrives when we understand:
Clarity — knowing why we are doing something.
Meaning — feeling connected to what matters most about it.
Progress — seeing visible movement, even in small steps.
When one of these elements is missing, motivation fades. But when they align, momentum becomes natural.
When Things Don’t Go as Planned
One of the most engaging moments of the workshop came from the group’s discussion about what to do when things don’t go as planned — when we invest effort and still don’t see immediate results.
I shared that resilience is not about pushing harder; it’s about reconnecting with meaning. Asking ourselves:
“Why did I start this in the first place?”
“What can I learn from this moment?”
“What’s one small next step I can take to move forward?”
These questions help shift focus from frustration to growth, turning a moment of stagnation into a point of clarity.
Coaching Technique for Self-Motivation
To make the session practical, participants were guided through a short coaching exercise designed to help them identify:
Their current challenge or area where motivation feels low.
The ‘why’ behind it, what makes this truly important to them.
The smallest, achievable step they can take to restore progress.
This reflective process showed how quickly motivation can resurface once we reconnect action with meaning.
It was an honor to be part of this event surrounded by so many inspiring, bold, and creative women.
The energy in the room reminded me that motivation grows best in collaboration , when we share stories, exchange experiences, and support each other in staying aligned with our purpose.
A heartfelt thank you to Agnese for hosting such a powerful mentorship initiative and to every participant for your openness and insights.
